Cancellation Policy for High Desert Sacred Journey

May 18-24, 2025

We want you to feel confident about signing up with us and get all your questions answered.

The following Cancellation Policy allows us to comply with our contracts with vendors and in-country travel partners and covers the time and resources spent in preparing for and arranging this retreat.

  • $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required at time of registration.
  • $3,000 is due Februrary 16, 2025, 90 days prior to trip date. Any cancellation made February 17 to April 2, 2025 will result in loss of funds paid to date.
  • $2,990 (remaining balance) is due April 3, 2025, 45 days prior to trip date. Any cancellation made after April 4, 2025 will result in 100% loss of funds.

If  there are not enough participants, we reserve the right to cancel. All funds, including your deposit, will be returned in full.

We are not responsible for any loss incurred due to currency conversion rates.

If you wish to cancel your spot on the retreat, you must submit your cancellation in writing via email to Lisa McIntyre.

Occupancy Types

Single Occupancy Rooms Only – One person in a private room with ensuite bathroom.

 

Payments

The initial deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. This payment secures your spot for the retreat.

Your credit card will be automatically charged on the dates communicated in your registration confirmation – unless you notify us of your cancellation in writing. Then your credit card will not be charged for the remaining balance.

Getting There 

  • Flights: Cost of the flight will be your expense. You will want to book your flights for Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) in time to catch our shuttle at 3:00PM. It is about an hour from the Santa Fe Airport to Abuquiu.
    • Arrive by 3:00PM on May 18, 2025
    • Depart after 2:00PM on May 24, 2025
  • If you have plans to visit other parts of New Mexico before or after the retreat, then let us know and we can help you made arrangements to the Abiquiu Inn.
  • There will be one group airport shuttle each way based on our flight window guidelines, and those who choose alternative flight windows or experience delays will incur their own transport costs to the retreat center. Be sure your flights align with the provided flight windows if you wish to use the group shuttle. The retreat center is about 60 mintues from the airport.
  • Going.com and Google Flights are excellent resources for finding the right mix of inexpensive and suitable tickets for your needs.
  • Before booking tickets, please be sure you have received your official confirmation note that the retreat has met its minimums and will proceed.

Travel Insurance

We cannot emphasize enough the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, the pandemic or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans.

Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip. Some policies cover COVID-related needs and others offer “cancel for any reason” but do cost a bit more for the flexibility they provide. You may want to try Travel Guard Insurance or World Nomads.
